Comprehensive analysis of interacting proteins and genome-wide location studies of the Sas3-dependent NuA3 histone acetyltransferase complex

Highlights • We characterise Sas3p and Gcn5p active HAT complexes in WT and deleted TAP-strains. • We confirm that Pdp3p interacts with NuA3, histones and chromatin regulators. • Pdp3p MS-analysis reveals its phosphorylation, ubiquitination and methylation. • Sas3p can substitute Gcn5p in acetylation of histone H3K14 but not of H3K9. • Genome-wide profiling of Sas3p supports its involvement in transcriptional elongation.

Simple Summary T-cells defend the human body from pathogenic invasion via specific recognition by T-cell receptors (TCRs). The TCR genes undergo recombination (rearrangement) in a myriad of possible ways to generate different TCRs that can recognize a wide diversity of foreign antigens. However, in patients with T-cell lymphoma (TCL), a particular T-cell becomes malignant and proliferates, resulting in a population of genetically identical cells with same TCR rearrangement pattern. CONFRONTO TRA RM WHOLE BODY E PET/TC NELLA STADIAZIONE DEI LINFOMI FDG-AVIDI.

Scopo Scopo del nostro studio è stato quello di comparare la RM whole body (RM-WB) con la PET/TC nella stadiazione dei linfomi FDG-avidi. Materiale e metodi 68 pazienti (37 maschi, età mediana 42 anni, range 15-86) con diagnosi istologica di Linfoma (37 Hodgkin, 16 Diffuso B a grandi cellule, 10 Follicolare, 5 Mantellare) sono stati sottoposti a RM-WB e PET/TC prima del trattamento. Sono stati valutati e confrontati sensibilità, specificità, valore predittivo positivo e negativo (PPV e NPV) della RM-WB e PET/TC, quest’ultima considerata come standard di riferimento. This article summarizes the activities of the four-week whole body dissection course the main authors participated in in August 2016 at the dissection hall of the University of Malta (UoM). Our team comprised 10 second-year medicine students from University of Palermo chosen among who had passed the Human Anatomy exam brilliantly. The need to move to the UoM to take part in such activity derives from the lack of practice approach in Italian schools of medicine, focused mostly on the theoretical studies, neglecting practical experience. Summary ― The work presents the results of the bio-archaeological analyzes carried out on human skeletal remains found in fourteen burials of Medieval chronology at the Archaeological Park of Valle dei Templi in Agrigentum (Sicily). The aim of the work was the acquisition of the information necessary for the reconstruction of the biological profile of each individual throught the determination of sex the estimate of the biological age at death the estimate of height and the evaluation of pathologies and markers of occupational stress through current anthropological diagnostic methodologies and techniques. Althought the poor state of conservation of some individuals has not allowed their whole anthropological characterization the investigations have highlighted the heterogeneity relating to the age groups and have allowed us to ascertain the presence of pathological alterations in subjects of mature age sometimes of unknown etiology such as DISH (Diffuse Idiopathic Hyperostosis). Abstract Background & Aims Advances in direct‐acting antiviral treatment of HCV have reinvigorated public health initiatives aimed at identifying affected individuals. We evaluated the possible impact of only diagnosed and linked‐to‐care individuals on overall HCV burden estimates and identified a possible strategy to achieve the WHO targets by 2030. Methods Using a modelling approach grounded in Italian real‐life data of diagnosed and treated patients, different linkage‐to‐care scenarios were built to evaluate potential strategies in achieving the HCV elimination goals.
